The meeting provided an important platform for participating organisations to share updates on project implementation, discuss emerging priorities, identify opportunities for collaboration and explore ways to strengthen coordination between the Ministry and civil society organisations.

Discussions also highlighted the value of continued engagement between government and civil society in supporting more coordinated responses to issues affecting women, girls and communities across Sierra Leone.

For Allies in Development, regular partnership and coordination platforms are an important part of our work. Effective collaboration among government institutions, civil society organisations and other stakeholders can help strengthen approaches to gender equality, violence prevention and response, safeguarding, and the protection of women and girls.

As an organisation working with women, girls, young people and communities, AiD values opportunities to contribute to these dialogue and coordination spaces and to learn from fellow civil society partners.

We appreciate the Ministry of Gender and Children’s Affairs and participating CSOs for their continued engagement and remain committed to strengthening partnerships that support safer, more inclusive and responsive communities across Sierra Leone.
