Mamoud Bah

Legal Advisor and Communications Specialist

 

Mamoud Bah is a Barrister and Solicitor of the Superior Court of Sierra Leone. Currently, he is pursuing a Master of Laws in Human Rights and Democratisation in Africa, at University of Pretoria, in South Africa. Mamoud was awarded a bar license by the Council of Legal Education, Sierra Leone Law School, in 2023. Additionally, he holds a Bachelor of Laws degree and a Bachelor of Political Science degree from Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone.

As Legal Advisor and Communiations Specialist at Allies in Development, Mamoud manages all external and internal communications of the organization. Further essential roles include, overseeing the creation of brand and advocacy materials, conducting due diligence and developing legal documents, including contracts and legal opinions.

Leading up to this role he was Editor in Chief for Dissent, Project Coordinator of the United States Tampa Bay Association of Sierra Leoneans and Deputy Publicity Secretary Aureol Journal of Law and Public Policy.As a human rights enthusiast, Mamoud provides pro-bono legal representation to victims of human rights abuses in Sierra Leone.
