INTRODUCTION
The positive parenting program addresses family violence, specifically intimate partner violence and violence against children in the home, by providing violence prevention education to parents and caregivers, and mediating family conflicts. Program activities also include workshops and counseling for parents. Allies in Development provides these services in partnership with activists, partner organizations, and line ministries, departments and agencies.

Parenting Network Worldwide (PNET): Parenting Network Worldwide (PNET) is dedicated to enhancing parenting skills and fostering a supportive community for both parents and children. Through workshops, counseling, seminars, and small support groups, PNET empowers parents to fulfill their divine responsibilities of nurturing and guiding their children. Allies in Development has partnered with Parenting Network Worldwide to implement its positive parenting program which applies the positive parenting technique to address family violence in Sierra Leone.
Ministry of Social Welfare: The Ministry of Social Welfare is the line Ministry responsible for developing laws and policies that promote the welfare of vulnerable groups, including women and children. The Ministry of Social Welfare provides technical advice and monitors the activities of civil society organizations (CSO) working on welfare and poverty eradication projects. Allies in Development has partnered with the Ministry of Social Welfare as a referral partner, responsible for directing target beneficiaries to our program.
Women’s Forum Network is a national coalition of women leaders and organizations working to promote gender equality and women’s empowerment in Sierra Leone. Allies in Development collaborates with women’s forum network to organize programs for women.
