Massah Mary Kanu

Director of Programmes

Massah Mary Kanu has over 15 years of experience in program management, administration and education. She holds a Master of Public Administration degree from Njala University in Sierra Leone and a bachelor’s in education degree from Milton Margai Technical University in Sierra Leone. As Director of Programmes at Allies in Development, Massah manages three core programs: the School and Youth Club program, Survivors and Caregivers’ program and Positive Parenting program.

Leading up to this role Massah worked for three years as Principal at Hope Worldwide Academy and nine years as Assistant Program Coordinator at International Education and Resource Network (iEARN), specifically on the Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange U.S. Department of State program.

Between 2002 – 2011 Massah worked as an Educator with SOS Children’s Villages in Sierra Leone. Her areas of expertise range from human resource and operations management, curriculum development, to Monitoring and Evaluation.
